Bootlab is an open space for a broad range of independent projects exploring today's media culture. It hosts the reboot.fm project and the HTMlles 06 [Active Agents] Circulation 01 Berlin event.

Bootlab was founded in the Spring of 2000 as an independent media culture association in order to continue with the work of mikro e.V., which organized media lounges and conferences in Berlin. The emphasis is on a production space that encourages the interdisciplinary exchange, research and development and exchanges of cultural media applications. Here, it concerns wireless networks, Open Source Software, video editing, open archives, and above all, non-commercial radio. There is a particular emphasis on the social and political recontextualizing of electronic media, like internet publishing.
