[RECHENZENTRUM DIRECTOR´S CUT]
Rechenzentrum´s new mille plateaux release "director´s cut" is out now. For the first time club transmediale organiser Marc Weiser, Lillevaen and Christian Conrad release an audiovisual work, a DVD with accompanying AudioCD, a feature-length film to accompany the music. The film was created, produced, and directed by the band; images fluctuate according to the rhythmic pulsations of the music, and movement is directed according to shifting tonalities. A synthesis occurs in the convergence between two otherwise exclusive mediums results. Rechenzentrum´s compositions extend beyond the domain of simple appropriation, as viewed by sample-based culture, and into a realm of redefinition and re-application, a technological cross-pollination of contemporary mediums. Besides Rechenzentrum's director's cut has received honorary award from ars electronica.

[CTM@WARSAW ELECTRONIC FESTIVAL 2003]
club transmediale has put together two audiovisual performances and the screening programme YUV_(v.02) curated by Antje Weitzel and Mirjam Wenzel for this years WEF festival. On october 23rd Mapstation (Staubgold) performs with Tappo Kontakt at Kordegarda Gallery followed up by berlin-based dis-information collective Column One (90%Wasser) on the 24th.
The Warsaw Electronic Festival takes place during october 4th and 25th 2003 and presents a wide range of electronic creation in music, video, installation and net based projects. Besides the participation of international artists, it offers a unique chance for fresh insights on the vivid polish electronic music and media art scene. So if ever you have the chance to make it there, you should have a look.

[MARC MARCOVIC]
Marc Weiser, one of club transmediale´s curators and the other half of the audio visual project Rechenzentrum, finally has dedicated his alias Marc Marcovic its own 12". Beeing a melancholic troubadour on flamenco guitar he for the first time combined his 'instant fake traditionals' with up to date studio technique and what did we get? A sparkling summer jewel for a twosome refreshment at some lake out in the woods. With remixes by T.RAUMSCHMIERE, SI-CUT.DB, CHRISTIAN KLEINE and RECHENZENTRUM. Love & peace!

[CTM.04 - FLY UTOPIA !]
The next edition of club transmediale will take place from JAN 30 till FEB 07 while the transmediale will last from JAN 31 till FEB 04. The overall festival theme will be [fly utopia !]. transmediale.04 and club transmediale.04 are looking for oustanding media art productions in the fields of image, interaction, software and digital music. [CTM@Garage Festival]
On AUG 7 CTM will produce a nightly programme with audiovisual experimentation and improvisation at the Garage Festival in Stralsund. Participating artists will be: Marc Weiser (Rechenzentrum), Lillevän (Rechenzentrum), Huib Emmer, Tappo Kontakt, Cecile Babiole, Miko Mikona and Jan Rohlf. So if you have the chance to spend some days at the sea, don´t miss this event ...

This is good friends of us and we recommend to spend some time there this summer...
The theme of the next edition is »no concept - a description of conditions« and there is still time to send in projects ...the festival includes the5th international short film festival g-niale, which is searching short for films on the topic: »trial & error «.
