Part Two of Eric Mattson's (Dr. P(r)axil) event series Survolt is dedicated to the musical exploration of communication and collaboration. Various musicians from different contexts first present their solo work and then sound out crossover potential in improvised electronic-jam sessions. Survolt Phase 2, introduces Canadians artists I8U, Champion and Tim Hecker to the Ukranian electronic-experimentalist Andrey Kiritchenko. The latter builds repetitive, rhythmic structures from minute sound material. Survolt is the attempt to set up an open system, which can be created only if all participants technically and artistically are able to interact freely.
