Computer-generated sound and images from Eastern and Northern Europe – maybe the most abstract of club transmediale.03 nights – mathematic compositions that dig deep into the physical basics of sound and image materials. Antoine Schmitt will improvise with the nanomachine, an semi-autonomous audio and visual abstract minimalist instrument that he built for the occasion. Russian COH, currently living in Sweden, will perform a solo set before teaming up with the two Dutch computer artists Gideon Kiers and Lucas van der Velden to form the live-cinema formation TELCOH (=Telco Systems + COH). The latter will provide additional visualisation for the rest of the night with his software-generated, dynamic vector animations. The clever rhythms of Ukrainian Kotra, put together from small sound-particles, are a synthesis of constructivism and noise and will be translated congeniously into images by Akuvido, an artist group from Ukrainia.
Pan Sonic's almost unlimited ability to control the physical strcuctures of sound-phenomena is well-known and leads to hypnotizing listening experiences - if the PA-system can deal with it.
Lazyfish comes from Moscow and combines his post-industrial roots with current streams of dub and techno in his own special complex way.
