Italian double bass player and composer Domenico Sciajno studied instrumental and electronic composition with Gilius Van Bergeijk and double bass in the 'Royal Conservatory' of Den Haag in the Netherlands. He collaborated with sonologists and new music composers Clarence Barlowe, Mikle Barker, Joel Ryan, Alvin Curran and Nicola Bernardini as composer and instrumentalist. With his interest in improvisation and the influence academic education had on him, Domenico Sciajno´s work focuses on the creative possibilities given by the interaction between acoustic instruments and indeterminacy factors processed by electronic devices or computers. He also works with images and video for his live-performances and produces interactive sound installations.

Sciajno´s audiovisual performance Globaliz8 Fx is based solely on audio- and video-material documenting the incidents that happened during and after the 2001 G8-meeting in Genoa. Also Sciajno believes that this events raise issues of such great complexity, that it is not possible to correctly approach them by artistic means, he proposes one fundamental request: not to forget what happened in these days.
