In 1997 Fred Bigot began to sample guitar sounds and started his first
solo project Electronicat: bits of vocals, guitar stuff and analog machines
and all kinds of distortion, wah wah, delays used in psychedelic electro
punky music. In the last three years, he has released several albums, singles
and remixes on labels like Disko B, Angelika Koehlermann, Kompakt, Kitty-Yo
or Mute. Electronica has played live shows in Europe, America and Japan.
The latest release of Electronica on Disko B – 21st Century Toy -
shows Fred Bigot from his strongest side: electronic music that can`t live
without punk and that has learned from Suicide, Soft Cell and early disco
that attitude works best: in terms of R.O.C.K.
