"Art of Disappearance" continues. - Based in Brooklyn, New
York, Sound artist, composer, [electroluxe] event schemer, a core member
of Share, o.blaat (Keiko Uenishi) is known for creating
various interactive audio environments , resulted from her ceaseless pursuits
of ways to erase performer's presence and ultimately alter listening situation
altogether. Lately, she has been exploring powerbook's mobility and its
least distracting state of being. She has collaborated with Christine Bard,
DJ
Olive, Toshio Kajiwara, Ikue Mori, Daniel Smith, Lloop,
Marina Rosenfeld, Kaffe Matthews, Ralph Steinbrüchel, Matthew Ostrowski,
Charles Cohen, Miguel Frasconi, Miya Masaoka, Sachiko M, 242.pilots (Kurt
Ralske, Lukasz Lysakowski, HC Gilje), Eric Redlinger among others. Her Powerbook
performances have appeared at many music venues/events/museums including:
Tonic, The Cooler, The Kitchen, Whitney Museum of American Art, P.S. 1 Contemporary
Art Center, American Museum of Moving Image, Unitygain, Phonomena, rhizome.org's
Openmouse, Audibleview (in which she programmed & performed an audio-light
interactive patch) at White Columns.
