Tujiko Noriko (born in Osaka) lives in Tokyo and Paris. She started singing around 1978-79 and bought her first synthesizer and sampler in 1999. Mixing capriciousness with prettyness and outright experimentalism, Tujiko Noriko's introduction to the world at large was one of the most astonishing of the last years. For her solo albums, Tujiko has worked at fusing digital sounds into pop-song forms, but not as some quaint modernist exercise, rather as some raw, enveloping, loving artistic craft. he has released on the Mego and Tomlab labels.
