CTM EXTENDED
Parallel Events Programme
presentations, panel discussions, screenings, installations and artworks

Each evening begins with panel discussions or screenings examining issues beyond the purely formal, aesthetic consideration of electronic music. CTM Extended is designed as a space for debate between artists, journalists, activists, theorists and interested guests. It has been drawn up in cooperation with the various partners featured in the programme and includes the HTMlles-Circulation01 events hosted by Bootlab.

As the festival title Fly Utopia! suggests, the central focus this year is on independent initiatives whose primary interest is to exploit the potential of current media technology to develop creative agency and exchange, loosen social and technological restrictions and build up community structures. The exchange initiated last year with neighbouring Eastern European countries will also be pursued. Producers, radio activists and organizers from various countries will be asked both about their working conditions and the particular strategies developed in the face of these conditions.

A choice of artists has been invited to deal with the thematical focuses of the festival in installations and artworks shaping Maria am Ostbahnhof's spaces.
