Rosa Barba (born 1972) who studied theatre and filmscience
in Erlangen-Nürnberg is an international reputated video and photo artist.
Among others she won the directors award, cinematexas, austin, 2000, hermann
claasen furtherance price for media-art and photography, 2001, grant for
3 months, government ministry of urban development and housing, culture and
sport nrw, 2001, else-heiliger grant 2002, chargesheimer foto-film and video
prize cologne, 2002, DAAD-grant, 2003 and Uriôt prize, 2003. Her work
was shown in places such as museum ludwig cologne, akademie der künste,
berlin, argos, bruxelles, museum of fine arts, taipei, taiwan and rijksakademie
van beeldende kunsten, amsterdam. She participated in numerous festivals
and can already look back on a number of publications.
