Sensitive compositions between traditional instruments and digital technologies: Vienna-based Radian got their second album recorded in Chicago by John McEntire. With their highly concentrated noisy amalgamation of shifting electronic improvisations (bass/drums/electronics) they managed to create a realm of distorted sounds full of poetic qualities. F.S. Blum from Berlin uses his laptop to build timelessly floating soundtrack miniatures with classical instrumentation (guitar, vibraphone, trumpet etc.). Stefan Schneider aka Mapstation - former Kreidler bass player, now member of Torococorot - will perform with the support of Radian drummer Martin Brandlmayer and Reggae singer Ras Donavan to revive his warm analogous dub sounds within a band format. Ekkehard Ehlers, an archeologist in references, together with guitarist Joseph Suchy from Cologne, is in search for a new from of improvisation in times of digital music production. They will make the musical archives as resources audible and try to escape from the dilemma caused by digital production processes.
